WCF Named One of America’s Fastest-Growing Private Companies
Inc. Magazine revealed its Inc 5000 list of fastest-growing private companies in the
country. The Inc 5000 gives an unrivalled portrait of young, underreported companies across
all industries doing fascinating things with cutting-edge business models, as well as older
companies that are still showing impressive growth. The 5000 companies that made the list
reported aggregate revenue of $214 billion and median three-year growth of 126 percent. Most
important, the 2009 Inc. 5000 companies continued to create job growth, having created more than 1
million jobs since those companies were founded.
Windy City Fieldhouse (WCF) was recently named to the Inc. 5000 list as one of the
fastest-growing private companies in the country. Inc. Magazine’s annual ranking is the most
comprehensive look at the most important segment of the economy – America’s independent-minded
entrepreneurs. Taken as a whole, these companies represent the backbone of the U.S.
economy.
“WCF is extremely proud to be a part of this select group of companies helping bring recovery
back to America,” said Robert Beaubien, executive vice president and co-founder of WCF. “It
is exciting for our employees and a testament to their hard work, especially to achieve this growth
during very difficult economic times. We are very proud of them and very thankful to our
growing list of clients, many of whom started on this same list many years ago including companies
like Microsoft and Oracle.”
The Inc 5000 list is comprised of U.S.-based and privately held companies with the best
earnings growth from 2005 through 2008. This year’s list includes such companies as Visio,
Zipcar and GoDaddy. “Savvy trend spotters and those who invest in private companies know that
the Inc. 5000 is the best place to find out about young companies that are achieving success
through a wide variety of unprecedented business models, as well as older private companies that
are still expanding at an impressive rate,” said Inc. 5000 project manager Jim Melloan. “That’s why
our list is so eagerly anticipated every year.”
Each year, Inc. Magazine and Inc.com celebrate the remarkable achievements of today’s
entrepreneurial superstars – the privately held small businesses that drive our economy. The
2009 Inc. 5000, recently unveiled on Inc.com, serves as a unique report card on the U.S. economy.
Despite the ongoing recession, aggregate revenue among the companies on the list actually increased
to $214 billion, up $29 billion from last year, with a median three-year growth rate of 126
percent. The Inc. 5000 are responsible for creating more than 1 million jobs since their founding,
making the list perhaps the best example of the impact private, fast-growing companies can have on
the economy. For more information on any of WCF's Award-Winning Events, please contact
